How much for the Leica S-Adapter C?

I use a Leica S2 at the moment but use it with the Hasselblad H Adapter and my Hassy lenses. I’m thinking I could sell the H system lenses and adapter to buy this system which I think would save me a bundle. Thanks for the heads up

Hey James,

The ‘problem’ with the Contax 645 Lenses is that the aperture is controlled electronically, the aperture ring has no mechanical way of adjusting the aperture blades. It just tells the camera what aperture you have set so when the actual exposure is made the lens electronically stops down the lens.

This makes the lenses particularly difficult to mount on other systems with a ‘dumb’ spacer ring adapter. Because you’d only have manual focus, and wide open aperture.

The Leica S-Adapter C has electronics in it so the lens behaves just as it would on the Contax 645 body. (Apart from setting the aperture on the camera and not the lens.)

Hey man. I love these images. I don’t think I’m going to ever own a Leica S but it makes me wonder about adapting my Contax 645 lenses to another system.
